Now, Let’s Talk to Jim about Timber!
I buy timber throughout Michigan and northern Indiana on behalf of Forest and Land Management, the procurement division of Devereaux Saw Mill. For more information about the mill, visit our website at www.devereauxsawmill.com. You will be impressed by the mill’s use of advanced technology, their enduring reputation, and the scale of their business operations. If you like what you see, and if you are interested in working with an established, honest buyer, let’s talk!

(Please note: although our jobs can range from just a few trees in a small woodlot to hundreds of trees on many acres, we do not buy trees from yards or residential areas. Typically, tree removal from those areas requires specialized equipment; please consult with a tree removal service).

Temporary Home School Units
We are using this space to help out during the Coronavirus situation. Created by Carol for our grandchildren in response to school closings (and because their mom is working crazy hours as an emergency room pediatrician), these two units are meant to provide some learning opportunities that can be done somewhat independently. The grandchildren chose topics of interest for a research project that should result in a workbook that can document their learning efforts. Feel free to use these units if it will help the children you love.
My Animal Project was designed for a third grader who loves cats. The unit is focused primarily on a cat’s anatomy. Each reading activity is followed by “Things to Think About”, which are primarily questions or written exercises based on the reading. “Things to Do” are a variety of hands-on activities to reinforce learning (and just be fun). Once you print out the workbook, minimal computer access is needed (and those activities are optional); some limited materials referenced can be ordered on Amazon if desired.
My Science Project is designed for a sixth grader, based on his interest in electrical circuitry. This project should also result in a workbook, but the learner chooses which resources to use from a list of resources available online (computer and internet access will be needed). Each resource is followed by written exercises and hands-on activities to reinforce learning. Due to the nature of the topics, the hands-on activities (if selected) require numerous electrical materials.
